This study explores the organizational culture and job quality of social economy facilities for the Long-term care in Gyeongsangbuk-do. For this purpose, a qualitative study was conducted to answer the following questions: 1) What is the organizational culture of social economy facilities experienced by Long-term care workers in Gyeongsangbuk-do? 2) What is the job experience of those who care for the elderly in Gyeongsangbuk-do¡¯s social economy facilities? As a result of the study, the organizational culture of social economic facilities caring for the elderly can be presented as 'job-oriented' and a 'democratic operation'. In the job experience determined from such organizational culture is that non-compulsory and informal, unwritten rules based on the social economy identity and norms are formed w ithin the organization. It is possible that these informal factors acted as factors to increase the job quality(work environment, wage system, occupational safety, employment stability, work-family balance, etc.) of care workers.
As the democratic management method of social economy facilities supports horizontal leadership, participatory decision-making, and workers' autonomy and self-autonomy, it provides a foundation for care workers to organize and adjust to their own working environment. These organizational cultures have internalized the members as a subculture and the way members work together. As such, to ensure that this organizational culture of job-creating, social economy facilities for workers is sustainable, it is suggested to increase the size of the organization, strengthen the pursuit of publicity, and improve the compensation system for care services.
